JA Cuddy School Parent Advisory Council
is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a $10,000 sponsorship from Manitoba
Liquors and Lotteries Small Capital Sponsorship program. This program is designed to provide support
to non-profit organizations in the Province for small capital projects that
focus on benefiting the community at large through initiatives like the green
space project that encourage a healthy lifestyle through physical activity,
nutrition and wellness, especially for youth.
This money will be used to complete Phase 1 of the Sanford Green Space -
the sports field improvements, which will take place the Summer/Fall of 2016.
Phase 1- Sports Fields
Improvements covers the cost for earthworks and drainage on the majority of the
school property and the cost to construct safe, rounded soccer pitches and
baseball diamonds, as well as a two meter wide continuous walking path
surrounding the entire green space, which will eventually be connected to the
existing walking pathways in the community.
JA Cuddy PAC is very excited
to be starting this work of Phase 1 and wants to thanks all the community
members and sponsors that donated to the project.
